Every year, on August 8th, the world celebrates International Cat Day as a special occasion dedicated to honoring and appreciating the feline companions.

Origin and Purpose

In 1993, the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and other animal welfare organizations initiated this day to raise awareness about the importance of cat health and welfare, promoting responsible pet ownership, and educating the public about the joy and companionship cats bring to our lives.
